Railroad and mining spikes hand hammered into various knives, letter openers and steak flippers. Some of the full size railroad and the small mining spikes are considered low carbon steel, fine for opening a letter or turning a roast. For a working knife, I reserve the larger RR spikes; the ones marked with HC or JCC have a higher carbon content . |
